Characteristics:
Colour that varies from green to yellow; a fruity smell; a taste with slightly bitter and spicy notes that are indicator of an olive oil of excellent quality. Maximum acidity of 0.2%, expressed in oleic acid. Delicately aromatic, the Terre di Siena extra virgin olive oil is preferred as a condiment for vegetables and "pinzimonio" (usually after the harvest you serve the oil with raw vegetables
, on toasted bread and other traditional local dishes, based on legumes.
It is also tasty as an ingredient in more elaborate preparations based on meat, fish and in soups.
The tin is the perfect storage solution for olive oil, since sunlight can't go through.)
